The only thing that really sucks about running in my area is that the elevation change sucks. As you can see, most of my run is uphill :[ and in this heat and humidity. Anyway, I ran the whole thing which I’m proud of since I haven’t ran in a while. Dripping in sweat and muscles are aching but that’s a good thing right?
Oh and I forgot my heart rate monitor :/
Back from the workout. Did some tough hills and then went on a short jog before it got cold and started pouring. When I got home, I did a short weight lifting session..basically some bench press and then some bicep and tricep work. I’m happy with it overall and now I’m trying out the chocolate protein shake!
So I did .5 a mile on the treadmill to warm up which I didn’t track and then I did some ab work and finally hit the weights. Here is the 30 minutes of weight lifting followed by a quick .5 mile burst session on the elliptical.
Ran 20 bleachers today along with a couple of laps of the track and then did some sprints/football routes. Here are the stats for everything but the sprints/routes.
I ran in the heat for the first time today and it was toooough. First of all, I hadn’t ran in a while so my legs hurt a bit and I had to stop to walk a bit after a mile. Second, I sweat so much because of the heat but it also makes me feel more badass ». Lastly, my sports sunglasses performed beautifully. I was worried they’d fog up a lot when I ran in the heat but not once did they fog.
Oh and I ran a mile in 10:53 which is the first time I’m recording a mile that’s outside with multiple elevation changes.
Ran some hills today. My legs were really tired and shaky, so I didn’t do too much because I felt as if I were going to collapse at a certain point haha. At least it’s something! This hill is no joke and I ran it five times.
Today’s run consisted of this concept I thought up. Well, I’m sure it’s been done by everyone else but I decided to do it myself. Basically I ran a whole lap, then 300 m, then 200, 100, and then 200 and back up to an entire lap for a total of 1.75 miles and then I walked a couple more laps as a cool down. It was pretty chilly but a good workout overall.
Next time, I need to warm up a bit better because I had planned to run a mile to see if I could get under 10 mins but my legs were hurting after the first lap so I stopped. Turns out I just needed to recover a sec and then I was fine but I had already stopped my stopwatch and stuff. I had a good pace too :/ Next time!

Just ran 4.5 miles. Wow. The most I ran before this was a 5k which is 3.1 and I did that on a track where the elevation was essentially the same. This time my 5k time was a bit longer at 42:36 but I also had a lot of elevation changes to deal with. I’ll post the link to the workout so you can see exactly how awful it was ahaha. I only stopped to walk 3 times and it was for a very short amount of time because of extended hills. I may have been able to try to do a 10k but I was tired and my breathing wasn’t great towards the end so I stopped. Needless to say, my legs are burning right now. I really needed this to kick my butt back into gear and I also wanted to thank the 20 or so new followers I got last night…it’s great motivation at a time when I really needed it.

Today we’re going to do two workouts since yesterday was an off day and we’re going out tonight as a couple of friends are coming for the holidays. First we started with some weight training and then we went to the track to do some cardio. Cardio consisted of doing 5 bleachers followed by one run around the track and repeat. Check out the stats if you wanna see more: Workout
I should seriously consider more than one rest day. My legs are really sore from all the running. I could barely keep going at any controlled pace once I started. The good side is that I’m lifting more/doing more reps weight wise. Me gusta.
