The only thing that really sucks about running in my area is that the elevation change sucks. As you can see, most of my run is uphill :[ and in this heat and humidity. Anyway, I ran the whole thing which I’m proud of since I haven’t ran in a while. Dripping in sweat and muscles are aching but that’s a good thing right?
Oh and I forgot my heart rate monitor :/
Back from the workout. Did some tough hills and then went on a short jog before it got cold and started pouring. When I got home, I did a short weight lifting session..basically some bench press and then some bicep and tricep work. I’m happy with it overall and now I’m trying out the chocolate protein shake!
I ran in the heat for the first time today and it was toooough. First of all, I hadn’t ran in a while so my legs hurt a bit and I had to stop to walk a bit after a mile. Second, I sweat so much because of the heat but it also makes me feel more badass ». Lastly, my sports sunglasses performed beautifully. I was worried they’d fog up a lot when I ran in the heat but not once did they fog.
Oh and I ran a mile in 10:53 which is the first time I’m recording a mile that’s outside with multiple elevation changes.
Ran some hills today. My legs were really tired and shaky, so I didn’t do too much because I felt as if I were going to collapse at a certain point haha. At least it’s something! This hill is no joke and I ran it five times.
Today’s run consisted of this concept I thought up. Well, I’m sure it’s been done by everyone else but I decided to do it myself. Basically I ran a whole lap, then 300 m, then 200, 100, and then 200 and back up to an entire lap for a total of 1.75 miles and then I walked a couple more laps as a cool down. It was pretty chilly but a good workout overall.
Next time, I need to warm up a bit better because I had planned to run a mile to see if I could get under 10 mins but my legs were hurting after the first lap so I stopped. Turns out I just needed to recover a sec and then I was fine but I had already stopped my stopwatch and stuff. I had a good pace too :/ Next time!

Today we’re going to do two workouts since yesterday was an off day and we’re going out tonight as a couple of friends are coming for the holidays. First we started with some weight training and then we went to the track to do some cardio. Cardio consisted of doing 5 bleachers followed by one run around the track and repeat. Check out the stats if you wanna see more: Workout
I should seriously consider more than one rest day. My legs are really sore from all the running. I could barely keep going at any controlled pace once I started. The good side is that I’m lifting more/doing more reps weight wise. Me gusta.
It’s amazing how easily I can run a mile now. This gave me the confidence to sign up for a 5k this spring for before I leave for Europe. I remember barely able to run 100m or a lap, even at 270 lbs the first time around. Now I may not be the quickest, but I can do it regularly and without too much exertion.
Today I did some sprints in the form of football routes for a while first, and then I did this run here. The run included a couple of huge hills and some stairs. You can see the elevation changes and stuff, and more info in the link if you want it: Workout
Here are the stats from weight lifting and the running! And here’s the link for more info: Workout
Today’s workout was much short but much higher exertion. That hill is vicious… my friend got pretty tired quickly as he’s still in physical therapy so we finished early. I did a few weights at home as well.
